About this guide

Divided in different sections; the first of them is the introduction about what is LITEBI. In the next section you will be able to read, from a general perspective, the basic operations of the platform. The third section deepens into the analysis and data views in LITEBI. Lastly, we have more sections that explain dashboards and balanced scorecards, respectively.

The aim of this Help guide is to explain everything in an easy and understandable way for a user without technical knowledge, therefore we will use screenshots to meet this goal.

Although it is recommended for the user to know the concepts of Business Intelligence, in this help guide, we have also made a brief and concise explanation about them and in what way is LITEBI particular.

What is Business Intelligence?

Business Intelligence (BI) allows companies to make better decisions and achieve a better control of their business.

All the companies need information to be managed, but sometimes the process to get useful information is slow and expensive. It is usual for companies to use Spreadsheets or Manual Reports, which is laborious and implies maintenance and reliability problems

What is SaaS?

The distribution model known as Software as a Service (SaaS) or Cloud Computing is based to avoid clients from investing and infrastructure maintenance in order to use applications.

How does LITEBI work?

LITEBI works integrating all the information the company needs to analyze and control in a structured data space (LiteDICTIONARY). This information can come from any data source (databases, ERPs, CRMs, Excel, etc ...) and is collected by ETL tools that communicate with a securized Web API (LiteINTEGRATOR) that updates the information available for the analysis in the form of Cubes, Dimensions, and Dashboards. From here, business users can access via web interfaces to their workspace (LiteSPACE) and use the different available tools to maximize the use of the stored and organized information on the platform (LiteEXPLORER, LiteMONITOR, LiteSCORECARD, LiteMAPS , LiteTEAM).
